I’ve never liked the cold. Just the thought of it turns my soul to ice. I dislike feeling chilly, getting chilblains, having my fingers, nose, and earlobes freeze. I don’t understand people who love it - love what? Having it feel as if the wind is biting your face off? Getting ice burns or flaky skin? Your bones and muscles are actually hurting because of the low, low temperatures?

They say ‘wrap up warm’ in winter and cold conditions but I tend to find that the cold gets through, somewhere, somehow, no matter how many layers or woollens, hats or gloves, scarves or thermals I put on. Perhaps I was just made for warmer weather?

I’m terribly sensitive to the cold, it just feels like torture to me. And the warm weather, well, that feels like quite the opposite!
